内容摘要：

    This talk presents a new approach to Chinese XP-DE-YP construction, with a focus on complement clause and deverbal forms. Based on LCA advanced by Kayne (1994), I claim   that NP and DeP are head-initial in Chinese. The conclusion is expected given what we observe elsewhere in Chinese syntax in terms of directionality. This solution also gives an explanation to the (im)possibility for XP to be elided when it is NP’s complement, which provides an argument in favor of the hypothesis made about linearization in Minimalism, namely linearity of human language is an interface condition.

    黄晓亮，2007年赴法在巴黎第七大学攻读语言学，期间获得法国教育部颁发的科研奖学金并在巴黎七大语言学系和东亚语言与文明系承担多项教学任务。2014年10月以最高学位荣誉获得描述及理论语言学博士学位，2015年1月开始在北京外国语大学法语系任教。
